Summer Team Classes:
We welcome anyone
interested in the team to try it out
for the summer. There are 2 separate
classes for the summer. The classes are
divided up by ability, NOT AGE.
Mondays- 5-6:30
Advanced Tech- focus on dbl turns,
switch leaps, axels, and adv. jazz/
character/ pom routines
Mondays- 6:30-
7:00-Advanced Tap- focusing on single
pullbacks, wings, etc. Difficult tap steps
Wednesday 4:00- 4:30
Beginning Tap- for 1st timers

fall
Wednesday 4:30-6:00
Intermediate Tech- focus on kicks,
leaps, turns, and fun jazz/ character/ pom
routines
Wednesday 6:00-6:30
Intermediate Tap- focus on mastering
many tap steps
Fall Team Classes:

Intermediate tech-

1-hour (1-2 comp dances)

Character/ Jazz-
For everyone on the team who wants to
compete. This will be the BIG, FUN number-
1 hour
Advance Pom-
1 hour (1-2 comp dances)
Intermediate Pom-
1 hour (1 comp dance)

What is the minimum time commitment
for the team?
3 hours a week. 1 tech, 1 comp dance, and 1
outside dance class

What classes do I have to take to be
on the team?
A tech class, one class with comp dances,
and another non-team class (anything,
hip-hop, ballet, etc)

What does the team cost?
Besides tuition; costumes (usually less than
$60 a piece), dance shoes, poms (if in poms
dance), tights, make-up, secrete pal gifts
($10 a piece, 4 gifts or so per year), and
comp fees (around $28 a dance)

What other activates does the team do
besides competition?
We try to fundraise, we do at least 1
charity event, we have parties, and
sleepovers. It is a lot of fun!

When are competitions?
In the spring, either Feb., April, or May.
They are on the weekends. We do 2 a year.

What if I want to compete with a solo
or a duet?
Please contact me so we can schedule a time
for your weekly class for the fall.

Do I have to attend class regularly?
YES. The
team is a commitment; you must be able to
attend your class regularly.
Try-outs for the Team
We will have try-outs
again in August for the 2007 and 2008 team.
The DC Team is a
great opportunity for dedicated dancers who
want to spend more time learning, improving,
meeting new friends and really enjoying the
